An occupational therapist by trade, Teepa has over 35 years of clinical experience in the field of geriatrics and dementia care. She has also been a caregiver to family members living with dementia. Her focus is person-centered care, looking at the capabilities of each individual instead of their disabilities. As an educator, Teepa often uses role-play to demonstrate stages of dementia and behavioral states. This day-long, conference will be offered on the same day in both the East and West Valley. Teepa will present in the West Valley in the morning and the East Valley in the afternoon focusing on Navigating Challenging Situations More Successfully.
