Michelle Cornelius

Michelle Cornelius earned her Master of Social Work in 1997 but noted in her work that care staff weren’t receiving the training they wanted and needed to be successful in their jobs.  She returned to school, earning then a Master of Education in Human Resource Development in 2011 She has worked in a variety of settings supporting people with dementia and has written multiple staff training programs. Michelle has recently started as the Clinical Education Coordinator at Hospice of the Valley’s Dementia Care and Education Campus. She is a national speaker and dementia educator, believing that through education and training of family members, paid caregivers, and the community at large we can better serve both the person diagnosed and their caregivers.
